Shelter Brewing Co is bringing the heat back to the Busselton Foreshore for one epic weekend of music, food, drinks and family fun — and you’re all invited.
The Cabin returns Friday 18 to Sunday 20 July as the official hub of Cabin Fever Festival’s opening weekend. That means three full days of free-entry good times, with everything from sizzling street eats to soul-warming live tunes — plus a stack of free activities to keep the little ones entertained.

What’s On
Food Truck Frenzy
Friday 18 July, 6 – 9pm, free entry
Kick off the first weekend of Cabin Fever with one seriously tasty night at the Busselton Foreshore. Your favourite food trucks are rolling up to serve everything from sizzling street eats to decadent desserts — all best paired with a frothy from Shelter’s pop-up bar. Live tunes from Radio Coco will bring the Friday night energy inside The Cabin, setting the tone for a feast-friendly, fireside session.
Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony with Sandra Hill
Saturday 19 July, 1 – 1.30pm, free
The Undalup Association represents the Noongar people of the South West, and we’re honoured to have them open The Cabin with a meaningful Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. Led by Noongar cultural custodian Sandra Hill, this special event invites us to pause, connect, and pay respect to Country and community.
It marks the official public opening of the Festival and a moment of reflection we encourage all attendees to experience. Free and family-friendly — all are welcome.
Non-stop Live Music + Free Kids Activities
Friday 18, 11am – 4pm; Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 July, 12 – 5pm, free
The Cabin will be buzzing all weekend with a stellar lineup of live music to keep the vibes high and the winter blues at bay.
Friday kicks off with the raw and relatable Nikki De Campe, the sunny, nostalgic sounds of Sun After Dusk, Polly’s distinctive spin on indie rock, and the genre-defying, infectious stage presence of our final act, Sophian.
On Saturday, Kiera Jas brings her bright energy and witty banter to the tent; experience the intricate, ear-grabbing melodies of Free Aviary; witness the entertaining theatrics of colourful misfits Soul Seeds; and let Ghost Care close the day with their signature blend of alt-pop and delightfully upbeat tracks.
Wrap it all up on Sunday with an enriching performance from Trent Knight, charismatic and unique songwriting from Hey So Hungry, the warmth of Coco Elise’s playful bedroom pop, and an irresistibly captivating closing set from King Blue.
Meanwhile, little Cabin Feverers can get in on the fun too — with free face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, giant bubbles and a craft table running across all three days, thanks to the magic-makers at Face Painter Extraordinaire.

No need to wander far when the thirst hits — Shelter Brewing Co will be slinging local frothies from their pop-up bar all weekend, while Spirit of Little Things joins the fun with a dedicated bar serving up Cabin Fever gin cocktails.
Cheese Toastie Battle
Sunday 20 July, 6 – 8.30pm, $40/person
The ooey, gooey, golden showdown is back. A true Cabin Fever classic, the legendary Cheese Toastie Battle returns to The Cabin—and it’s meltier than ever.
This year, five toastie titans will throw down their cheesiest creations in a bid for glory:

– Sam Morgan from Uncle Sam’s Smoke Shack
– Mike Kerrigan from Rústico at Hay Shed Hill
– Jason Beste from Supper Road
– Julian Bergerhoff from Shelter Brewing Co
Your ticket gets you a stacked tasting plate of all five toasties and a drink on arrival to get you in judging mode. Expect bold flavours, wild combos, and serious cheese pulls.
Plus, setting the vibe for the evening is DJ Stoney with his cheese-melting, head-bopping, genre-hopping, funk-laden rhythms from every corner of the globe.
