The first weekend of Cabin Fever came in hot — with blazing brews, bingo raves, sangria-fuelled feasting, barrel hall banquets, sunrise truffle hunts, long lunches, and some very melty cheese toasties.

Full bellies, wild weather and a whole lotta fun — here’s how it all kicked off. 🔥

Fires lit. Belly full. The Cabin conquered. 🔥🍷 What a way to kick things off.

We launched Cabin Fever 2025 with one epic weekend at Busselton Foreshore — and The Cabin presented by @shelterbrewingco was buzzing from the first beat to the last bite (before the weather gods called it early 🌬️).

From Friday’s Food Truck Frenzy and froths by @shelterbrewingco, to cheeky cocktails by @littlethingsgin, @vassefelixwines & @juniperestate, Saturday’s Welcome to Country, fire-side tunes and free fun for the little ones — it was a jam-packed celebration of local flavour, sound and soul.

The vibes were high, the mulled wine flowed, and the food (including @littleottos s’mores kits) was just right.

While Sunday was called off due to wild winds, we wrapped up the weekend the best way we know how — cosy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious.

Big love to everyone who braved the cold, hit the dance floor, kept the kids entertained, or just came down for a drink and a groove.

And of course — massive thanks to @shelterbrewingco for keeping The Cabin fire burning.

The weather may have booted us from The Cabin, but not even wild winds could stop the ooey-gooey showdown that is the Cheese Toastie Battle.

Five toastie titans brought the heat — slinging golden, crunchy, cheese-filled creations in the ultimate fight for melt-master glory.

Huge thanks to all our epic contenders: Mike McAllister @rustico_hayshedhill, Jason Beste @supper_road, Thomas Schneider @shelterbrewingco, Sam Morgan @unclesamssmokeshack our close runner-up, and of course, our champ – Tony Breen from @the_common_mr 👑

Before the mulled wine started flowing and the winter dance floors filled up, we gathered with our amazing partners, sponsors and local legends at The Cabin for an intimate evening to launch Cabin Fever 2025.

There were smoky skewers and truffle-loaded snacks by @shelterbrewingco 🙌 (featuring local gems from @themargaretrivertrufflefarm), fresh, sustainable WA seafood from @endeavourfoods, sweet treats by @littleottoschocshop, bold wines by @vassefelixwines and @juniperestate, and signature cocktails shaken by @littlethingsgin — all served with a side of good tunes and wintry buzz.

A huge thanks to Minister for Regional Development, Stephen Dawson, City of Busselton Deputy Mayor Anne Ryan and Augusta Margaret River Shire President Julia Meldrum for joining us on stage to officially light the Cabin Fever fire.

And of course — massive love to the legends who help make this festival possible:

Due to the severe weather warning for Sunday 20 July and the pop-up/outdoor nature of The Cabin presented by Shelter Brewing Co. we will not be opening the space on Sunday 20 July to ensure the safety and comfort of all.

Our friends at @shelterbrewingco will still be open to satisfy your beer needs, and Cheese Toastie Battle ticket holders will have a super cosy space to enjoy the event in (check your email if you have tickets)

The Cabin remains open as usual for Saturday 19 July until 9pm 🔥

We’re throwing open the doors to The Cabin at the Busselton Foreshore, your one-stop winter haven for the whole weekend — packed with sizzling food trucks, soul-warming live tunes, cheeky gin cocktails, local frothies, and cosy fireside hangs.

🔥 What’s on today?
From 11am, the live music starts rolling, @shelterbrewingco’s pouring the beers, and @littlethingsgin is shaking up the gin cocktails.

Then tonight, we turn up the flavour with our Food Truck Frenzy (6–9pm) — smash burgers, dumplings, Middle Eastern soul food, fish & chips, donuts + more, all to a soundtrack by Radio Coco.

And that’s just the start. We’ve got a Welcome to Country on Saturday, non-stop live music all weekend, kids activities, and Sunday’s epic Cheese Toastie Battle to melt your heart (sold out).

Plus, nearly 40 events are taking over the region for 10 days of wintry goodness.

We literally can’t wait to have all the fun — see you at The Cabin (or out there crawling from feast to feast)!
