This July, we invite you to join a world of great food, fine wines, good times, and incredible local and international art. Margaret River Art Trails have arrived for the first time in the South West, offering a new street art experience in Margaret River, Cowaramup and Prevelly.
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and Creative Corner have come together to celebrate the region’s growing reputation as an art hub along with our unique sense of place. These walkable trails provide locals and visitors alike the possibility to choose their preferred route and discover amazing artwork from both local and national talent, simply by scanning a QR code.
Pack the brolly and choose between a street art trail through Margaret River or Cowaramup, or opt for a more scenic route with Prevelly’s Coastal Art Trail. It’s a beautiful way to discover the region, explore stunning art, learn about the artists and their creative processes, and celebrate the extraordinary landscapes and nature of the South West that serve as inspiration to many.
Add the Margaret River Art Trails as a cherry on top for your Cabin Fever experiences, whether you head to an event before or afterwards, or combine it with other Margaret River Town Takeover experiences.

Whether you’re attending one of the ticketed events in the Cabin Fever program, you’re a Margs local, or you simply happen to be visiting the South West this July, we’ve curated the perfect lineup of activities to keep you entertained from 12-21 July.
Plan A:
Take a short 5-minute drive out of town to fuel up for your day out. Taste up to four of their delicious coffee blends before choosing your preferred blend to dine in or take away. Feeling energised after your tasting? Then you’re good to go! Don’t forget to treat yourself to some finger-licking nibbles from their cabinet.
Head to Margaret River HEART and embark on your walking trail towards the main street. Wander among bustling wine bars, laneways, and coffee shops, encountering large-scale murals, colourful canvases, and evolving art that reflect over 60,000 years of history of the Wadandi (Saltwater) People and their connection to their abundant natural setting and culture.
Make a pit stop on the main street at the Margaret River Hemp Shop. Discover their beautifully crafted, sustainably-made clothes and indulge in their exceptional natural skincare range, with a cheeky 30% discount on all skincare products from 12-21 July.
Wrap up this wintry day with a little rest and replenish at Swings & Roundabouts Margaret River. Warm up with two mulled wines paired with a delectable wood-fired Camembert topped with local honey, rosemary and hazelnuts on homemade flatbread. A Cabin Fever special for $46 all combined, served daily 3-8.30pm (closed Tuesdays/Wednesdays).
Plan B:
Start your walk at either Rivermouth or the Gnarabup boat ramp, next to the White Elephant cafe. Enjoy a stunning winter stroll along this picturesque coastline just before the sun goes down, exploring ten distinctive artworks throughout the walk, many which are inspired by the raw beauty of the ocean.
Cosy up at Settlers Tavern after your walk for a hearty feast and fine wines. Indulge in the exquisite flavours of Margaret River Gourmet Truffles from 12-21 July. Enhance your dining experience with freshly shaved Black Truffles onto any dish for just seven dollars extra, or savour nightly truffled specials such as mushroom risotto and pasta, perfectly complemented by wines from Australia’s Best Country Restaurant Wine List (Qantas awards 2023). Reserve your table for an unforgettable dining experience at settlerstavern.com.
After dinner, cross the road for more fun at Rio’s Margaret River. Collaborating with LS Merchants, enjoy an exciting lineup of events throughout both weeks of Cabin Fever, all of which are FREE ENTRY! Check them out:
